Hideo Kojima Leaves Kojima Productions

Konami Removes Kojima’s Name, Panic Ensues - 2015-03-19 14:36:31

Hideo Kojima, the brilliant mind behind Metal Gear Solid has left Kojima Productions.

Earlier this month on Oct 9th, Kojima left Konami for his final time. Kojima started working with Konami back in 1986 and his departure of the company has left many gamers to wonder what will happen to franchises Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill. He not only leaves behind Konami but the in-house studio, Kojima Productions according to The New Yorker‘s source.

It is speculated that the rift between Kojima and Konami was formed due to the amount of money it took to produce Kojima’s titles.

There is no word yet on where Kojima will end up next, but where ever it is, we hope it includes games. According to The New Yorker, Kojima is under a non-compete clause, which will most likely prevent him signing anywhere else until December.
