Fox’s hit TV series Gotham adds another top-tier villain to their line-up in Hugo Strange. Playing the sadistic psychiatrist yet brilliant mastermind in his humble beginnings is BD Wong. According to USA Today, Strange is hired to run the fabled prison, Arkham Asylum.

His most recent roll coming from the blockbuster hit Jurassic World, had the actor playing a similar role. So he definitely has the acting chops to play the part. Most recently in Gotham, they teased a new division, The Indian Hill. There is a strong belief that he will be revealed as the man behind the secret division that most likely didn’t get approval from Bruce Wayne. This newly introduced Wayne Enterprises suspicious program sole purpose is to create super powered beings.

So who knows what type of villains he will concoct for Jim Gordon and the rest of Gotham City Police Department (GCPD). Jim Gordon and the rest of the (GCPD) are not equipped to handle such threats. It’ll be interesting to see where the show will go after his appearance. Could be that extra push the show needs to keep people coming back.

Hugo Strange has a grand history dating all the way back to his 1940’s debut in “Detective Comics #36. Strange was one of Batman’s first recurring villains and is now making his live-action debut on the small screen soon.

There is no timeline when to expect Wong to appear in the show as Strange, but it should be relatively soon since the series is clearly slowly unraveling the hidden division of Wayne Enterprises.

Wong is a Tony Award-winning actor, known for his roles in Jurassic Park, Oz, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and of course the already mentioned Jurassic World. He also recently appeared on two of episodes of Mr. Robot.

Gotham airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

My name is Tim Morrell and I’m an entertainment enthusiast looking to break the news you care about. I like to play games, watch movies and tune into all the biggest shows on TV. I’m a huge comic book fan that respects both Marvel and DC Comics but my favourite super hero is Superman, so I think you can put two and two together on which side I’d be on if there’s a huge debate.
