Star Trek Returns With New Series

Star Trek Returns With New Series

Did you miss exploring space weekly with The Federation? Well, Star Trek will be returning with a new series in 2017.

CBS has announced a new Star Trek series to start January 2017. Alex Kurtzmanm, co-writer of Star Trek(2009) and Star Trek: Into Darkness, will be in charge of this new series. Not since 2005, with the cancelation of Enterprise, has there been an official Star Trek series, but with the success of the rebooted movie universe, now is the perfect time to try again.

“The brand-new “Star Trek” will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.”

While the first one or two episodes will be airing on CBS television, the rest of the series will be exclusively part of CBS’s online subscription service. For Canadians, you are able to create an account using a Canadian address so, there should be no issues signing up for the service to ensure you catch the new adventures of The Federation!

Hopefully, this series will exceed fans’ expectations and live long and prosper.
