Today Ubisoft announced the launch of the CODEX program. Codex will be a group of initiatives targeting all levels of education where videogames will be a motivation and learning engine to help Quebec youth and kids.

To this end, Ubisoft Montreal will be investing $8 Million on 5-year program that will include 1,000 hours per year of mentoring by Ubisoft Montreal employees. This program will aim to enlighten young minds by building on videogame assets. With this initiative Ubisoft hopes to help build a more diverse community in the science and technology field.

Codex 2015 will feature 17 partners in education with 17 initiatives that will focus on all levels of study.

It is this type of program that helps new people who love videogames, get the tools and mentorship they need to build the games of the future. It is great to see Ubisoft working so closely with education in Quebec to help teach the generation of tomorrow.
