Koch Media, the company behind Deep Silver, has announced today that it has made a distribution and co-publishing agreement with Codemasters.
This partnership will see Koch Media take on the sole distribution of Codemasters 2016 lineup of titles and they will co-publish in the Americas.
In a statement Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media said: “We are very excited to re-start a wide-reaching business partnership with Codemasters. Codemasters will complement our roster of AAA games from Deep Silver, Square, Sega and many other strategic partners. As part of the deal, our physical and digital distribution power combined will bolster some of the finest racing games ever produced.”
Frank Sagnier, CEO of Codemasters also gave his view on the deal by saying: “With a great line-up of new titles combined with Koch Media’s large distribution network and territory knowledge behind us, we are confident of a very successful 2016”
It is good to see Codemasters with a strong backing behind them. In recent years there distribution deal has been bounced around and even was in the hands of the ill-fated THQ at one point. Let’s hope this gives stability to the publisher to allow it to focus on making great titles.
