Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Delayed to April 26, 2016 - 2015-12-23 10:13:39

The Uncharted series has always been known for the level of quality and polish. Naughty Dog have been known to not cut corners in delivering their games, and it seems Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is no different. The team at Naughty Dog announced today via the PlayStation Blog that they have pushed the release to April 26th 2016.

Game development, especially on the latest generation of consoles, takes time. Not just to build the full experience, but to ensure it runs as intended. While there is the option to patch a game after release to fix potential issues, this is never the optimal way to release a game. If someone does not have access to the internet, their experience of the game will be broken or possibly unplayable. This is why companies taking the extra time, to ensure the game is playable for everyone is a good thing. These delays help build better games.

It is never an easy choice for publishers or developers, but it is a choice I am happy to see Naughty Dog and Sony making. More time is never a bad thing, and I am sure many fans want to see Nathan Drake in the best way possible.
