New Gears of War 4 trailer, "Tomorrow", releases

Gears of War 4’s debut story trailer, “Tomorrow”, channels the darkness and intense tone that players felt of the original GoW: Mad World trailer in 2006.

Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War 4 is set 25 years after the conclusion of GoW3 and places players in control of Marcus Fenix’s son JD. The trailer shows that the world after the events of the third game became peaceful for some time, but during JD’s growth into adolescence it’s clear that the tomorrow his father dreamed of is now plunged back into destruction and darkness. Now every battle is a fight for survival as JD runs away from the locust herd.

Gears of War 4 is scheduled for release on Oct. 11 for Xbox One as the first chapter in a new saga of games. For players itching to get into the action, a closed multiplayer beta will start April 18 for those who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on either Xbox One or Windows 10. The beta will be open to all Xbox Live Gold members the following week on April 24 and will be able to be played till May 1.
