. Players will have the option to purchase the standard expansion, or upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition, which will bring exclusive in-game bonuses for various Blizzard games, such as Starcraft II, Diablo III, and Heroes of the Storm.

In addition, there will be a retail-exclusive Collector’s Edition, which contains all the goodies from the Digital Deluxe Edition as well as a Legion mouse pad, a CD soundtrack, a 2-disc behind the scenes set, and a full-color hardcover art book.

Legion opens a dark and thrilling new chapter in one of the Warcraft series’ greatest conflicts, and things will never be the same for some of Azeroth’s most iconic heroes and villains,” says Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime. “This expansion is loaded with features and content that give players whole new ways to explore the world and customize their heroes. We’re looking forward to sending everyone into battle against the Burning Legion this August.”

The expansion, in which the warlock Gul’Dan invades Azeroth with a massive demonic army, will feature a new continent, new customizable Artifact weapons, and a new PvP honor system.

Players who pre-purchase the expansion will gain an instant level-100 boost to their character, as well as early access to the new Demon Hunter hero class prior to the expansion’s release.
