RUMOUR: Story-Based Grand Theft Auto V DLC Incoming 1

Greek gaming and tech website “Busted” reported information suggesting new Grand Theft Auto V DLC, although the page was quickly deleted.

According to the rumour, Rockstar Games is working on an episode-style piece of DLC for Grand Theft Auto V that will add a huge new map, as well as horseback riding and a casino. The episode will supposedly feature a new character named Anthony Miller, and take place in San Fierro and Las Venturas, which were areas  within Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

This information comes alongside plenty of rumours that would seemingly point to the currently unconfirmed Grand Theft Auto VI. It would be surprising for Rockstar to release single-player DLC for Grand Theft Auto V so late after the game’s launch, especially since the GTA Online community seems to be Rockstar’s current focal point.

At this point, rumours regarding the next installment in the franchise are probably more realistic, as the developer would likely focus all assets on a single project – Although with no confirmation regarding either the Grand Theft Auto V DLC or Grand Theft Auto VI, anything is possible.

In February, the CEO of Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Strauss Zelnick confirmed their presence at E3 2016, saying “We will be there in a big way,” which could hint at a major announcement. However, he didn’t go into any more detail, nor did he confirm which franchises would be featured at E3. For all we know, Take-Two’s E3 presence could be entirely focused on recent Red Dead Redemption 2 rumours.
