Stellaris Shatters Day One Sales Record For Paradox 1

It’s to the cosmos and beyond for Paradox Interactive after the launch of their latest game Stellaris last night, which has reportedly broken their Day One sales record.

In an announcement made on their website, Paradox stated that the sci-fi grand strategy game sold over 200,000 units in less than 24 hours, breaking the revenue record for any of their games in the same time frame. Paradox also said their were 68,000 simultaneous players on the day of release which overtook Cities: Skylines, one of the titles they published, for the record of highest amount of concurrent players at launch.

Stellaris breaks a lot of new ground for Paradox Development Studio,” said Henrik Fåhraeus, Game Director of Stellaris in the statement. “It is a type of game we have never attempted to do before, and we are immensely satisfied to see this leap of faith work out well, especially with all the positive response we are getting from the players.”

Stellaris is available on several digital retailers. For more information, head to www.stellarisgame.com.
