Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the localization of three newly announced Naruto games, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy and Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers is a 4 vs. 4 team-based action game developed by Soleil where eight players fight simultaneously. The game features popular characters from the Naruto and Boruto series. The game brings a brand-new graphic style, highlighting the franchise’s vivid colouring and dynamic third-person gameplay. Players will be able to interact with the arenas, running vertically along walls and jumping across platforms. Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers will feature cooperative gameplay as well as online battle features.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Storm Legacy is a collection of the four Naruto Shippuden titles, Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and 2, Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst and Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto. The set will come in an exclusive metal case along with a Naruto art book and bonus anime disc. Bandai Namco made a follow-up announcement of a Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, a digital port of the collection containing only the first three games.
The Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm titles are a series of fighting games with story modes that loosely retell the series plot. The games are developed by CyberConnect 2, the team currently working with Square Enix to develop the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake. The game features an art style suiting the series and depicts many events that occur during the series, some of them having been shown in the game before even happening in the anime. Many features have been added to the game such as a substitution gauge, making it impossible for players to endlessly teleport out of combos and a roster of over 100 characters by the series fourth entry.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers and the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm collections will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. While no release date was given for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers, the collections are set to release sometime in autumn of this year.
