Warner Bros Entertainment dropped a new trailer for the upcoming DC fighter, Injustice 2.Sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us which released in 2013, the new entry into the series aims to improve the game in every way possible, as highlighted in the new trailer.

Injustice 2 brings with it more characters than ever before with newcomers such as Supergirl and SubZero from Mortal Kombat on top of the already massive character list from the original title. Injustice 2 also includes unlockable gear for each character to equip and use, making the game highly customizable while adding another layer of depth to the already densely packed superhero fighting game.

Injustice 2 also features an all-new mode known as “Guild Mode,” this new mode allows players to form parties with their friends or other players and take on unique challenges exclusive to the mode that unlock gear and other rewards. Guild mode aims to provide hardcore players incentive to play together and dominate in the online community.  Like the previous title in the series, players will have the option to choose sides in both the campaign and online modes respectively, gamers will be able to join forces with the likes of Superman and The Flash who are intrinsically on the side of justice, or entertain the need to be bad, and team up with iconic super villains such as the Joker and Scarecrow.

Alongside Injustice 2, the game will launch with a mobile experience that simplifies the combat to accommodate touch screens while retaining the style and action of the full retail game, players will be able to unlock rewards and other bonuses for the console game through specific challenges in the mobile game. Injustice 2 will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017.
