Nintendo Reveals E3 2017 Plans Headlined by Super Mario Odyssey

As the days keep rolling on in May, the video game world keeps edging closer and closer to E3 2017. One of the major players at that event annually, Nintendo, have just revealed what fans can expect from them in June.

In a press release, it was announced that Nintendo’s proceedings will begin on June 13, 2017 at 9 a.m. PT/ 12 p.m. ET. At the forefront of their E3 showing, will be the title that fans thought would be a launch title alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Of course, this is referring to one of the most anticipated video games in recent memory: Super Mario Odyssey.

Players at E3 will have the first opportunity to play the newest instalment in the 3D Mario franchise, while others can watch it via live stream. Other games will be documented, as well. Once these proceedings have concluded, which is known as the Nintendo Spotlight, immediately following it Nintendo will be hosting their Treehouse event.

Nintendo Reveals Details For E3 2017, Headlined By Super Mario Odyssey 1

In this event, fans will have a chance to see Treehouse members show off various gameplay elements in multiple upcoming Switch and 3DS titles. While the Spotlight will be streamed from the official E3 page for Nintendo, the Treehouse will be streamed on Nintendo’s Twitch and YouTube channels; as well as the E3 2017 page.

In addition to all these reveals and gameplay videos, live from the Nintendo E3 Booth, the Splatoon 2 and ARMS Invitational tournaments will be held. However, the true buzz for E3 2017 will now be to see in-depth gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey. Hopefully, an official release date will also come alongside with it.
