Back in April, a listing for Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 was found on a Korean rating board with a brief description offered at the time that matches what was announced today. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will add a new mode called “First Timer Friendly”, assisting new players by giving them extra armour and adding save checkpoints for players to easily reload after dying. Much like the first collection, a challenge mode will be featured, offering stage remixes as well as a boss rush mode. Mega Man 9 and 10, two titles that originally released with separate DLC will have everything included in the compiled versions. Players will also be able to check out an in-game museum and music player, full of concept designs, promotional art and other high-resolution visuals.

Capcom released a number of collections over the last few years. The first Mega Man Legacy Collection released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, later releasing on 3DS. The game received praise for its solid emulation and redone sprites. Earlier this year, Capcom released The Disney Afternoon Collection. The collection packs six NES titles based on classic Disney cartoons, offering a rewind mode to help new players adjust to the game’s difficulty.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release on Aug. 8, 2017. The collection will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
