Troy Baker to Return to Middle-earth: Shadow of War in Two Positions 1

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed that Troy Baker is going to reprise his role as Talion in the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Baker is also going to be Middle-earth: Shadow of War’s Performance Capture Director.

This means that Baker is going to be overseeing all of the motion capture for the game, allowing him to help make sure that every performance fits within the world of Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

Baker is no stranger to motion capture having done motion capture for his roles in The Last of Us, Infamous: Second Son, and Uncharted 4.  With a history of motion capture, Baker’s guidance should ensure that the motion capture in Middle-earth: Shadow of War reaches new heights.

The better motion capture should really help the updated Nemesis System create even better antagonists for players to face.

In the old game, the Nemesis System allowed for player’s to have a personal adventure with individual uruks who rose to power based on the player’s actions throughout the game.

In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the Nemesis System being updated, and providing players with war chiefs for both you and your enemies. The new motion capture should really help with making the new war chiefs feel even alive.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be showcased at E3 this year.
