Lawbreakers PC Open Beta Starts Today

An open beta event is launching today for the upcoming multiplayer shooter, Lawbreakers.Nexon American and Boss Key Productions announced the PC open beta test for Lawbreakers. The beta will include a new map called “Vertigo”, a high-altitude reconnaissance outpost in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The beta will also feature a new mode called “Uplink”. This new capture-the-flag mode has players fighting over an uplink found in the middle of the map. After delivering the uplink to their team’s base, players will need to continue protecting it until points are earned. New weapon stickers will also be available in Lawbreakers open beta, allowing players to customize their equipment. Players will be able to earn a unique beta participant sticker by completing five matches during the beta event. This reward will transfer to the full release of the game at launch.

Lawbreakers is an upcoming first-person shooter with a heavy focus on multiplayer. Developed by Boss Key Productions, the team behind Lawbreakers led by legendary game designer Cliff Bleszinski, Lawbreakers allows players to face off against each other as forces of the “Law” or as bloodthirsty “Breakers”. Lawbreakers features 18 unique characters, all equipped with multiple weapons. The game’s large roster lets players choose from a variety of play-styles. Lawbreakers will also feature a number of game types that can be played across eight futuristic maps. Lawbreakers was featured recently as a nominee in CGMagazine’s “Best Shooter” category in our E3 2017 show awards.

The Lawbreakers open beta test launched today at 9 a.m. and ends on July 5, 2017, at the same time. Lawbreakers launches simultaneously on PlayStation 4 and Steam on Aug. 8, 2017. The game will cost $29.99 for the “Core Edition” and $39.99 for the “Deadzo Deluxe Edition”, which features a variety of exclusive in-game content. Extra content will also release with pre-ordered copies of the game.
