The Sexy Brutale Receives Physical Edition for PlayStation 4 1

The Sexy Brutale returns with a physical release in North America.

Tequila Works and Cavalier Game Studios’ puzzle adventure game, The Sexy Brutale, will get a physical release for PlayStation 4 this summer. Titled The Sexy Brutale: Full House Edition, customers who preorder at GameStop will receive the game’s original soundtrack and an exclusive full-color game manual filled with character profiles and artwork. The game’s manual will also highlight inspirations behind the game.

The Sexy Brutale released earlier this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Players are free to explore the Sexy Brutale casino mansion, a mansion that is stuck in a time loop, while its inhabitants are murdered. Players are tasked with preventing the murders by watching the house’s guests, learning how and why they each meet their untimely deaths. The Sexy Brutale offers ten unique murders for players to prevent. Players will need to keep an eye on the clock to find out what time certain events play out in order to change fate. Since its release in April, The Sexy Brutale has received favorable reception for its puzzles and time-looping mechanics.

Cavalier Game Studios is a UK-based studio formed in 2013 by several former employees of Lionhead Studios and Mediatonic. The team collaborated with Tequila Works, a Spain-based studio formed by former employees of Blizzard Entertainment, MercurySteam Entertainment, Sony Computer Entertainment and Weta digital. The Sexy Brutale is Cavalier Game Studios’ first game since forming. Tequila Works previously worked on the side scrolling survival platformer Deadlight and the more recent adventure puzzle game, Rime. The two began development on The Sexy Brutale with the idea of making a game similar to the 1993 film Groundhog Day and other time-looping games like The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

Preorders for The Sexy Brutale: Full House Edition are available now for the PlayStation 4, costing $29.99. The game will release on August 8.
