Marvel’s upcoming movie, Black Panther, is set to release in February of next year. However, movie fans don’t have to wait forever to catch a glimpse of the new movie as Entertainment Weekly has gotten some photos from the set.

The photos were released in two sets and will be featured in the next issue of the magazine. The first of the image sets features 20 images from the movie’s set. Some of the photos feature the cast on set filming a scene while some feature the cast and crew off camera and behind-the-scenes. The upcoming movie is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and focuses the lens on the titular character, Black Panther, following the events of the previous movies. To see those images click here.

This movie intends to explore parts of Black Panther’s story that weren’t touched upon during The Avenger’s movie and hopes to explore Black Panther as a character.

Director and co-writer Ryan Coogler says about the character, “What makes him different from other superheroes first and foremost is he doesn’t see himself as a superhero, he sees himself as a politician. That’s the first thing on his mind when he wakes up in the morning: ‘How and I going to fulfil my duties as king of this place?’”

The image sets that Entertainment Weekly has revealed are portraits of the characters from the movie. Each of the images features one of the important characters from the film. These images showcase the costume design which is astounding. To see those portraits head on over here.

We took a look at the first comic in the latest black panther line which you can read, here.

For the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther is not the next film in line. That honor goes to Thor: Ragnarok that is going to be releasing November of 2017. Opening 2018, Black Panther is going to open the year on a hopefully high note before Avengers: Infinity War premieres in May of that year.
