Master of Orion, the classic 1993 computer game is back in tabletop form.

Catalyst Game Labs have acquired the license to the renowned Master of Orion franchise and have transformed the beloved title to an upcoming table top experience. The upcoming title will first launch with the dueling deckbuilder: Master of Orion: Conquest set, which is being described as a “galaxy crushing’’ experience.

Those unfamiliar with the franchise, the most recent entry into the series was helmed by Wargaming Labs: Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars, the title featured immersive gameplay and even garnered a nomination for the 34th Annual Golden Joystick Award for best PC Game 2016.

Thanks to the recent partnership between Catalyst Game Labs and Wargaming Labs, the renowned PC strategy title will be reimagined as a tabletop card game. Michael Buonagurio, Special Projects & Research Manager, for Wargaming Labs had this to say:

Master Of Orion Tabletop Series Announced

Those attending the upcoming Gen Con 2017 in Indianapolis can look forward to being amongst the first to try the upcoming tabletop epic as Catalyst Game Labs will be in attendance. Their booth will be located in Hall H, specifically booth 1611 & 1703. Gen Con will begin August 17 2017 and on Sunday, August 20.
