Hi-Rez Studios and the World eSports Association (WESA) have announced that they will be streaming the Paladins Premier League content exclusively through Facebook Live. Facebook Groups will offer Amateur players a new path through which to compete.

The Paladins Premier League is the newest official eSports league for Hi-Rez Studios’ hero shooter, Paladins. The Paladins Premier League consists of ten member organizations from the WESA. Professional players in the league will be receiving a minimum salary and teams will be participating in revenue sharing of league profits.

“We’re very excited to announce this top tier of competitive league play as a complement to the grassroots Paladins Global Series we established last month,” said Todd Harris, COO and Co-Founder of Hi-Rez Studios. “As a community driven developer we try to meet our players where they are.  And we saw our players organically congregating on Facebook with an appetite to form teams and play Paladins competitively in tournaments. This comprehensive program supports a well-defined path from amateur to professional all leveraging the global reach of Facebook.”

The Paladins community will get to enjoy top-tier gameplay, quality live coverage, and community-focused features that will help bring the Paladins community closer together. A new weekly show on Watch, Facebook’s new platform for shows, will bring news, insight, and analysis of the competitive scene.

You can learn all about the Paladins Premier League in the video below.

“We are thrilled that Facebook has joined us as we work with Hi-Rez and the WESA teams to grow the Paladins Premier League into the world-class competition that the game deserves,” said Ken Hershman, Executive Chairman and Commissioner of WESA. “We look forward to working together with Facebook on new and exciting ways to grow and engage with this exciting community.”

Paladins Premier League livestreams will kick off in Fall of 2017 on Facebook. To learn more about Paladins, check out the official site. To follow the Paladins Premier League on Facebook check the page.
