Sony Reveals Three New Smartphones

At CES 2018 Sony unveiled three new smartphones. Today Sony greeted the crowd with three new phones that crosses Sony camera technology with an elegant design and a powerful performance.

The Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2 are the most recent in Sony’s popular super mid-range line of phones. “Our super mid-range product strategy started out as an exciting new idea based on bringing bold technologies to this section of the market in the most accessible way possible.” said Hideyuki Furumi, EVP, Global Sales & Marketing, at Sony Mobile Communications.

The Xperia XA2 large-screen and Xperia XA2 Ultra sport a 23 MP main camera, 8MP 120-degree-wide-angle front-facing camera. They also come equipped with Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 630 processor platform.

Both of these phones also feature an edge to edge display and reduced top and bottom bezels. The Full HD 1080p screen is designed to exceed expectations for how we view content on a smartphone while it sits comfortably in your hand. The visuals are not the only impressive part of these new phones, they are powered by SmartAmp which significantly enhances the sound quality of music, videos and games.

The Xperia XA2 will come in four colours: Silver, Black, Blue and Pink. While the Xperia XA2 Ultra will be available in Silver, Black, Blue and Gold. Canadian availability and pricing will be announced in the coming weeks.

These were not the only phones to be announced however, the Xperia L2 was introduced as well. The Xperia L2 sports a 5.5 inch borderless display smartphone with 120-degree super-wide-angle lens front camera, with an all new metallic design and a fingerprint sensor.

The Xperia L2 features a long battery life and a new 8MP front camera with 120-degree super-side-angle lense for fitting more into your shots. The battery in the phone is 25 per cent larger than its predecessor.

This phone is also comes with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and increased memory at 32GB RAM and a 32 GB internal memory storage and an external microSD memory card slot that allows up to 256 GB of additional storage.

The Xperia L2 will be available in three colours: Black, Gold and Pink. This new line of phone will be released later in 2018.
