Get your detective hats and be prepared to solve crimes with everyones favourite pokemon, Pikachu. A new Detective Pikachu amiibo is coming to North America.
Originally in 2016. The Pokemon Company released a side pokemon game for the Nintendo 3DS titled, Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo. The game was only sold on the Nintendo eshop. The game featured a hyper intelligent pikachu and a human who could understand everything the pokemon siad. These two partnered up and solved crimes within the Pokemon universe.
This game actually ties into the upcoming live-action Pokemon film as the movie is based off the game. To celebrate the new movie, the Pokemon Company decided to bring the game to America.
“Tim and this gruff, coffee-drinking Pikachu have teamed up to investigate the disappearance of Tim’s father. Look for clues, talk to witnesses, and uncover the secrets of Ryme City!” says the official release.
With all of this news on the horizon, the Pokemon Company decided to create a special Detective Pikachu Amiibo to use in the game. The amiibo is about twice the size of a regular amiibo. You can use this Pikachu to find clues to your current cases in the game.
This amiibo will be released in North America on March 23, 2018
