orlds Collide as The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II Launches for PC on February 14

  • January 30, 2018
XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that the critically acclaimed second entry in the Trails of Cold Steel series with a Metacritic score of 90 on PlayStation 3 and 80 on PlayStation Vita, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, will be released worldwide for Windows PC by XSEED Games via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store by Humble Bundle on February 14 with a 10% launch week discount from its regular selling price of $39.99, €39.99, and £29.99. Owners of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on PC will be able to use their existing save files in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II to gain access to special dialogue with characters reflecting the prior choices for a more personalized experience.
In addition to higher framerates, improved textures, and other graphical improvements that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel received when it launched on PC in 2017, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II will launch with support for ultra-wide resolutions, a brand new feature allowing players to bypass the Title Screen and launch the game directly from their most recent save, the return of the popular “Turbo Mode,” and over 50% more voice lines from the title’s original English voice cast!
About The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II picks up one month after the decisive collision that changed the fate of the entire nation at the conclusion of Trails of Cold Steel. Speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed “ARCUS” system returns with all the bells and whistles players fondly remember alongside a new Overdrive mode, new means of transportation across both the land and sky, new allies, new dangers, and a renewed sense of hope as Rean tirelessly works to right the wrongs that have led the country to disarray. Relationships cultivated during the time players spent at Thors Military Academy in Trails of Cold Steel affect future story elements and allow for more personalized conversations throughout the game.
The game is available now for PS3™ and “PSVita” systems in both digital and physical formats, and the digital “PSVita” system release is compatible with PlayStation®TV. This title has been rated “T for Teen” in North America on PS3 and “PSVita” by the ESRB.The Windows PC release has not been rated. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II is developed by Nihon Falcom and will be published worldwide for Windows PC by XSEED Games via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store by Humble Bundle on February 14 with a 10% launch week discount from its regular selling price of $39.99, €39.99, and £29.99.
