Arena Battle Game SMITE to Launch Free Anime Inspired Horde Mode

Smite, the online battle arena game will be getting a free anime inspired update later this month.

Da Ji and the Legend of the Foxes will arrive as free DLC on February 13th on PC and February 16th on consoles. The add on is developed by High-Rez studios, the developer behind Smite, although they say that this add on will be a unique experience for any Smite player.

Veteran anime voice actress Cristina Vee voices the main character, Senpai Da Ji and she says that she’s excited for people to play through the adventure.”Working on my first SMITE Adventure was so much fun, and I think we’ve created something that both SMITE fans and anime fans alike will really enjoy!”

The story follows Da Ji as she defends sacred foxes from waves of various enemies, including ninjas. Defeating the ninjas hordes will allow the player to go up against one of the games bosses and with each victory players will level up and get a chance to unlock one of 4  four Skins for Ratatoskr. High-Rez studios also claims that no two adventure playthroughs will be the same and that each bossfight will be randomized. On top of the free DLC, High-Rez is offering a payed Senpai Bundle, which gives players the Exclusive Senpai Da Ji skin for Da Ji, as well several other in game items for Smite.

Smite originally launched back in March of 2014 on PC followed by the Xbox One version  in August of 2015 and the Playstation 4 version in February of 2016.
