Grasshopper Manufacture’s free to play hack and slash, Let it Die, just won’t die.
The studio’s parent company, GungHo Online entertainment, announced that the game has officially reached 4 million downloads and that new content is on the way. Let It Die is a post-apocalyptic hack and slash that throws players into its world with nothing but their underwear and a simple objective: survive. The game was originally released in December of 2016 on PlayStation 4 as an exclusive and has since received a number of major updates.
GungHo Online Entertainment CEO, Kazuki Morishita said that he is “overjoyed that we were able to achieve four million downloads since Let It Die’s release a year ago.” He went on to thank fans for their “continued support and we will continue to produce more content so that Let It Die can be enjoyed for years to come.”
Grasshopper Manufacture is mostly known for their Lollipop Chainsaw and No More Heroes games. Back in 2017, a new No More Heroes game featuring Travis Touchdown was announced for the Nintendo Switch, but no release date has been announced as of yet.
The company will be celebrating Let It Die’s achievement with an official Twitch livestream on February 28th at 7 p.m. PST. Fans can watch the livestream here.
