Dark Horse Comics announced that two new Avatar graphic novels will be bending their way onto comic store shelves later this year.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the two new books are called Imbalance: Part One and Team Avatar Tales, to be released later this fall. The announcement marks the latest in the long-running Avatar graphic novel series and first since last year’s North and South trilogy.

Imbalance: Part One is the first part of a trilogy and features series mainstays Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko and Toph. The story involves Team Avatar visiting a town in which tensions between benders and non-benders is high. The series will be headed up by writer Faith Erin Hicks and artist Peter Wartman.

Hicks is a Vancouver based cartoonist who’s known most for her graphic novel, The Adventures of Superhero Girl and her work on the Lumberjanes: Beyond Bay Leaf Special. Wartman is best known for his graphic novel Over The Wall which tells the story of a young girl who enters a mysterious city to save her lost brother. The duo will be working closely with Avatar co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

On the other hand, Team Avatar Tales is a one-shot showcasing a number of stories from a variety of creators. It will also feature the talents of Faith Erin Hicks, as well as Gene Luen Yang, Carla Speed McNeil, Ron Koertge, Dave Scheidt, and Sara Goetter. Gene Luen Yang recently completed his multi-year run on Avatar and this collection marks the first time he’s returned since. Team Avatar Tales isn’t the first Avatar anthology book as back in 2011 Dark Horse released Avatar: The Last Airbender-The Lost Adventures, which told various stories that took place throughout the original TV show. Avatar: The Last Airbender ran from 2004 until 2008 and featured 66 episodes over its run. The show also spawned a sequel series set 70 years in the future called The Legend of Korra. Korra was on air for a total of three seasons and 52 episode from April 2012 to December 2014.
