Netflix Announced Two Characters Joining Stranger Things

Netflix has revealed two characters that will be part of the third season of Stranger Things.

A fan favourite is making her return in season three, Priah Ferguson. Ferguson will be returning to her role as Erica Sinclair, main character Lucas’ little sister. In the second season, Ferguson appeared in four of the nine episodes and was a charming addition to the cast. This season, Erica finds herself on an insane mission to save the town of Hawkins from a new dangerous threat.

New to the cast this season is Maya Thurman-Hawke, who will play the character Robin. Robin is just as sharp as she is playful and she just wants a little excitement in her life. When a new threat comes to Hawkins, she will find that she got more than she bargained for. Other notable performances include when she played the lead in the BBC and Masterpiece’s adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic Novel, Little Women.

Stranger Things was created by the Duffer Brothers and first aired in 2016. The show is set in the 1980’s and it focuses on four boys who encounter a girl who possesses telepathic and telekinetic powers. Believe it or not, this is not the strangest thing to grace the town of Hawkings. The town comes under attack from an otherworldly enemy that threatens to destroy everything.

Overall Stranger Things is well received, with the first season achieving an 8 on Rotten Tomatoes, while season two being awarded a 7.8 and both managing an overall positive audience score. There is no word yet on a date for the third season, but if it follows season two, we should expect a fall release.
