Last Year: The Nightmare Gameplay to be Revealed at PAX East

Elastic Games has announced that their upcoming survival horror game Last Year: The Nightmare will debut at Pax East this year.

The company also announced the hiring of a new Head of Brand and Communications in Jay Acevedo who is working on the game. He previously worked as an industry journalist as well as a communications manager at Ubisoft Entertainment.

Acevedo says that he is, “delighted and honoured to be a part of this amazing project. Not only am I joining a hungry and talented group of game developers but also lovers of the industry and its consumers. The LAST YEAR property promises to deliver something fun and engaging. I’m excited to be part of the adventure.”

Last Year: The Nightmare is a 5 vs.1 survival horror game, in which five players play as a  group of classic high school characters that must survive against a killer, controlled by another player. The goal for the students is to escape the high school, while the killer is tasked with murdering all the other players. The survival horror game was funded as a Kickstarter project back in 2014, and raised over $110,000 CAD. Last Year: The Nightmare is set to launch this summer on PC  although there are plans to bring the game to other consoles.

PAX East is a gaming convention that takes place every spring in Boston Massachusettes and is open to the public. This year PAX East takes place from April 5th to 8th, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. There will be a hands-on demos of the game at the Elastic Games’ booth #21097. More information about Last Year: The Nightmare is available on the game’s official website.
