Guacamelee! 2 Announced For PC, Juan To Come Out Of Retirement With Eminent Release 1

Drinkbox Studios has officially revealed the existence of Guacamelee! 2 for the PC.

Guacamelee! 2 is the follow up to the indie darling Guacamelee! and once again puts players into the well-worn and weathered shoes of Juan Aguacate, the bombastic and over-the-top Luchador and protagonist of the first game.

Guacamelee! 2 expands on the formula of the first game, bringing with it even more levels, enemies, and bosses while retaining the original title’s iconic colourful, Mexican aesthetic.

The title takes place seven years after the original, with Juan’s happy life with his family is suddenly interrupted, after his long-time friend and mentor Uay Chivo, discovers a new evil threat, menacing over not only Mexico but the very fabric of time and space.

While no firm date is set for the Steam release, it has been revealed the game will be coming out “soon-ish”.
