According to Ubisoft, Far Cry 5 has broken several records in first week sales, both in relation to the franchise and the company as a whole.

In its first week, Far Cry 5 sold more than twice as much as its predecessor, Far Cry 4, making it the fastest-selling game in the series, and ranks at the company’s second-highest debut of all time behind The Division. While specific sales numbers haven’t been confirmed, Ubisoft claims over $310 million was spent on the game in its first week, with half of the sales coming from digital distribution platforms like PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

Along with sales, Ubisoft touted statistics on the game’s online presence, specifically pointing to Twitch and YouTube. According to the company, players streamed a total of 55,000 hours on Twitch, and YouTube videos of the Far Cry 5 accumulated over 117 million views. These statistics are record-breaking for Ubisoft games on the platforms for a game’s first week.

“We’re grateful to newcomers and fans of the series who have joined us in Hope County and have collectively grown our community,” said President of Ubisoft, Americas Laurent Detoc.

Beyond sales and online consumption, Ubisoft shared a graphic breaking down player’s habits in-game in the first week, as well as statistics and facts about the game’s production:

Far Cry 5 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more on the game, chceck out CGM’s review of the PS4 version.
