Boston Uprising player Jonathan ‘Dreamkazper’ Sanchez is under investigation for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual behaviour with a 14-year-old fan.

Sanchez, age 21, allegedly approached the girl online and struck up a friendship with her. From there allegedly engaging in an inappropriate, oftentimes salaciously Snapchat, Facetime and through Twitter’s direct messaging system. This news broke when the 14-year-old in question posted her story online, complete with screencaps of her conversation and call logs to prove that she had in fact interacted with Sanchez.

In her statement, the girl said that “I want to address something that I’ve kept in the dark for too long. I am Lily, I am 14 years old and in 9th grade. I was taken advantage of by a 21-year-old player for the Overwatch League. He abused his power as a player to coerce me into sending him nude pictures and engaging in explicit facetime activities.”

She went on to say that after talking it over with her close friends she “realized what a power dynamic it was. I’m stepping forward to hope this doesn’t happen to anyone in the future. DreamKazper should have known better to engage in explicit activity with someone seven years younger than him, especially when he represents a team. He used his social status to blind and take advantage of me.”

Both the Overwatch League and the Boston Uprising are reportedly investigating this incident and Sanchez has been suspended indefinitely from his team. The girl’s full statement can be found here. Sanchez has yet to comment on the accusations and hasn’t had any activity on Twitter since April 7th.
