Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Punches Its Way To Stores in June with Secret Bonus DLC

What happens when you mix Shaquille O’Neal, a dojo, and a Hollywood visit gone wrong? Enter Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn. It is an intense, action-packed beat ’em up side scroller where players take on the role of Shaquille O’Neal and fight their way through hordes of Hollywood hell.

Players get to dive into combat with katanas, shuriken and baseball bats, showing off their devastating combos. They will fight celebrity bosses and channel Shaq’s alter egos like Big Daddy O and Big Diesel, while restoring Shaq’s legacy.

The game will be part of a bundle with the unannounced ‘Bonus FU’ DLC at major retailers on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The added bonus DLC will not only surprise fans on launch day, but also extend the gaming experience with a bonus celebrity and exciting, new levels.

Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions, has been optimistic about the game’s reception.

“Since its unveiling to the press and public at recent expos and hands-on events, the reception to the Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn has been terrific,” he said. “Better than we could have ever imagined, and certainly settles the score of ’94 and puts right the legacy of Shaq Fu. So much so, that we wanted to make the physical retail edition something truly memorable for gamers who prefer something more tangible and collectable. When they open up their box copies, we’re genuinely intrigued and excited to gauge players’ reactions to the additional DLC content.”

The game will be available on June 5, 2018.
