RAGE 2 Gameplay Trailer Revealed, Featuring Insanity Fueled Wastelands

RAGE 2 just released its gameplay trailer, and it perfectly embodies a world where insanity rules.

The open-world first-person shooter features pedal-to-the-metal vehicle combat and several merciless locations like swamplands, jungles and deserts. However, you are never alone in RAGE 2, as mutants and gangs lurk in dense foliage, and passing cars in open deserts are more likely mow you down than give you a ride.

Antagonists from the first game will return as well, fighting you every step of the way as you attempt to bring down Authority. The corrupt government in RAGE 2 is now on a renewed mission to take down every remaining pureblood Arkists, and their leader, General Cross, will slaughter anyone in the way of his goal.

Equipped with unique guns and gear, you’ll need every one of your weapons and all of your skills to defend your home — even if it is a merciless wasteland.

You will play as Walker, who is fueled by Arkist blood and is an elite fighter. He is also the last Ranger standing and is able to harness special Nanotrite abilities. He can crush enemies, slam them down and send them flying with his lethal abilities. As Walker in RAGE 2, you also will learn how to channel Nanotrites into weapons and push them into Overdrive to unleash unrelenting hell. While in Overdrive, guns do more damage, have new attributes and enemies drop better loot.

Yesterday, Bethesda officially announced Rage 2 with a first looks trailer showing of the exciting things to come in this new installation of the franchise:

In a world where there are no rules, insanity rules, and it’s time to fully embrace it.

Bethesda will have its E3 Showcase this coming June 10, where more RAGE 2 gameplay and details will be revealed.
