Metro Exodus Announced For 2018 1

4A game’s Metro Exodus has been pushed back to a Q1 2019 release window.

THQ Nordic the parent company of Koch Media and Deep Silver who owns the rights to the Metro property, confirmed today in an earnings report that Metro Exodus, which was originally scheduled to come out this fall has been delayed until the first quarter of 2019.

4A Games and Deep Silver broke the news regarding the delay on the official Metro Exodus website, stating, “The development of Metro Exodus is progressing well; we are all really excited by what we are seeing, We want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best and therefore we have taken the decision to move the release date to Q1 2019. We know that this will be disappointing news for fans that had hoped to play the game this year, but also know that you will appreciate the results that this additional development time and new release date will bring.”

Metro Exodus was first unveiled during E3 2017 and will be a direct follow up to 2010’s Metro 2033 and 2013’s Metro: Last LightMetro Exodus promises to take players above ground as they once again step into the shoes of Artyom. 4A Games promises that Exodus will give players larger, more expansive environments to explore and survive in as they embark on a journey, looking for other survivors in the wasteland.

Metro Exodus will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in the first quarter of 2019.
