Steam Link App BETA Now Available For All Android Users

The Steam Link app for Android is now available for free from the official Steam store web address.

The Steam link app, which is currently in its BETA and free for all Android users, is now available to download from the official steam webpage, the app allows PC players to experience their Steam game library on their smart devices, as long as they are connected within the same 5Ghz wireless network or preferably a fast wired ethernet connection. The app will support users pairing their Steam controller, in addition to other Bluetooth compliant devices, for use with the streaming service. The app is currently only available for Android users, with an iOS release pending approval from Apple.

The Steam Link App will eliminate the need for the official Steam in-home streaming device, giving users easier access to their library of digital titles across a shared network — users who are interested in trying out the app are recommended to be running at least Android version 5.0, with access to some form of Bluetooth controller. Readers interested in checking out the new app can grab it by clicking here.

No release date has been announced for the iOS version at this time.
