EA Enters Exciting New Frontier With Cloud Gaming Technology and Talent 1

Electronic Arts (EA) just announced that it has acquired the cloud gaming assets and talents of GameFly Inc.

“Cloud gaming is an exciting frontier that will help us to give even more players the ability to experience games on any device from anywhere,” said Ken Moss, the EA’s chief technology officer.

“We’re thrilled to bring this talented team’s expertise into EA as we continue to innovate and expand the future of games and play.”

Based in Caesarea, Israel, the team members and newly gained technology will help further EA’s capabilities in cloud gaming. The company will take a leap into exploring new ways for players to experience games from any device.

In addition to extending the reach of games via streaming high-quality entertainment to more players on more devices, EA also wants to focus on reaching more geographic regions of the world with cloud gaming. The focus on advanced technologies would give players more freedom to access games, as well as increase the scale of next-generation experiences.
