Ubisoft Officially Announces Assassin's Creed Odyssey, will be at E3

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the next entry into the Assassin’s Creed series will indeed be Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, furthermore Ubisoft has promised that the title will make its proper debut during E3 2018.

This news comes merely hours after images of merchandise for the upcoming title leaked online. The original story can be viewed below:

An image on the internet of what appears to be merchandise for a title called Assassin’s Creed Odyssey surfaced earlier today, suggesting that the latest entry into the series will take players to ancient Greece.

The two images in question both depict what appears to be a Spartan helmet, suggesting that the game will take players to Greece, something that would be a series first. This leak isn’t the only piece of information surrounding the alleged title, a post on 4Chan has also surfaced, possibly revealing several key features of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey game.

The 4Chan post in question mentions the return of several key features from past entries into the series, such as the return of the Brotherhood system, the Renovation system, the weapon wheel and smoke bombs. Additional features allegedly coming to the leaked title include an improved crafting and customization feature, gameplay that mixes parkour with Origins styled gameplay and encounters with mythical beasts in addition to naval warfare.

This isn’t the first time an Assassin’s Creed title has leaked prior to an official announcement, with Assassin’s Creed Origins leaking in a similar fashion last year after a T-shirt with the games logo appeared prior to E3.
