Netflix has resurrected the supernatural crime drama Lucifer, following the show getting cancelled weeks prior during a spree of cancellations over at Fox.

Lucifer was amongst several other television shows that unfortunately got the axe, however, like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which luckily got saved, thanks to NBC, Lucifer too, has followed suit, thanks to the help of Netflix renewing the show for a fourth season.

Fox had originally cancelled Lucifer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth, and The Mick. With Netflix stepping in for the fourth season of Lucifer, it looks like the detective crime drama, starring the Devil himself (Tom Ellis) will be back. The renewal of the show is in part thanks to the outcry of fans that have campaigned together with the hashtag, #SaveLucifer, which similarly to other shows such as The Expanse, which also faced cancellation before fans stepped in. Deadline’s report points out that the renewal for Lucifer comes only a day prior, just as options for the cast of Lucifer for were set to expire.
