Today, Microsoft has started teasing fans with what will likely be a full reveal tomorrow, regarding the future of Microsoft’s Surface line of tablet-based-computers.

Microsoft, earlier today, tweeted, “Where will Surface go next?”, accompanied by a photo of the current line of Surface computers, with their screens all displaying June 10, 2018, further hinting at some kind of reveal, planned for tomorrow.

The current climate suggests that Microsoft plans on releasing a cheaper $400 version of their Surface in order to compete with Apple’s 2018 iPad which also falls into the $400 range. The latest iPad managed that price point while still supporting the Apple Pencil, something that until recently, was reserved for the more premium, iPad Pro line of tablets. Furthermore, the FCC recently filed a new entry for a new Surface product that described a device that featured a lower power consumption requirement, which further hints at the possibility of a smaller, more affordable Surface model. Electronic devices generally get the FCC seal of approvable, fairly close to launch, meaning that Microsoft will most likely release whatever it is that they’re planning sometime in the relatively early future.

Microsoft has yet to acknowledge the existence of a smaller, more affordable Surface product, however, with less than a day to go, we should soon see what exactly Microsoft has in store for their Surface line of computers.
