New World of Warcraft Animated Shorts Feature Iconic Leaders of Azeroth 1

Blizzard just released a trailer for their new series of World of Warcraft animated shorts.

The Warbringers series will feature Jaina, Sylvanas, and Azhara, who all have played an important role in the World of Warcraft universe.

The first few seconds of the trailer features Sylvanas Windrunner, who is the current Warchief of the Horde. Right beside her stands Nathanos Blightcaller, who’s had a long history with Sylvanas back when she was the ranger-general of Silvermoon, and later on after the defeat of Arthas.

At the back is Varok Saurfang, the current racial leader of the orcs in Orgrimmar, who appears to be contemplating the Burning of Teldrassil.

Afterwards, the video shows Queen Azshara plunging into the sea, heralding her corruption by Sargeras and the Great Sundering, which turned her into the Queen of the Naga.

As for Jaina Proudmoore, she is seen confronting Arthas, who was once her love interest and a paladin, but later the Lich King.

With the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth pre-patch going live tomorrow, this trailer and the animated shorts to come only add to the new expansion hype.
