Blizzard’s arguably most popular title, World of Warcraft will no longer let players purchase the Battle Chest — instead, all expansions up to Battle for Azeroth will be included to those who simply subscribe to the game.
The Battle Chest was the name given to the collection of the numerous expansion packs released for World of Warcraft over the years, which now will be included within the $14.99 USD/ $18.99 CAD monthly subscription free for playing the renowned MMORPG.
The change is effective immediatly for all players, meaning that newcomers can jump into WoW and have instant access to all the currently available expansion packs (up to level 110), excluding Battle for Azeroth, which will see release August 14, 2018, and will be available for $49.99 USD/ $63.00 CAD.
This new model will make it easier than ever for new players to hop into the massive game world that is World of Warcraft, without the worry of missing out on content due to only having the base game installed.
World of Warcraft is available to play on PC and Mac platforms.
