Fortnite just had its v5.0 content update, and it features two new guns for Save the World and Battle Royale.

First up is the Submachine Gun for Fortnite Battle Royale, which makes enemies think twice before going up against you. Available as a common, uncommon, and rare weapon, the Submachine Gun is ideal for intense, close range fights.

Not only does it have 19 to 20 base damage, it also uses light ammo, and has a 30 round capacity. This new weapon can be found in chests and as floor loot.

As for Fortnite Save the World, it gets the new Typewriter Assault Rifle, which is a high capacity weapon that’s great for Husk clearing. This mid-range weapon has a lateral kick, and it’s shooting profile makes it good against moving enemies.

The Typewriter Assault Rifle has been added to Fortnite’s Weekly Store and will be available between July 18 at 8 p.m. EST until July  25 at 8 p.m. EST.

In addition to this weapon update, the Tactical SMG has been added to the Vault, while the  Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle has its damage increased to 75/78 from 63/66 in Fortnite Battle Royale. Meanwhile, levelling up with friends gets easier with Fortnite Save the World being 50 per cent off from now until July 30.
