Epic Final Fantasy XIV Online and Monster Hunter: World Collaboration Begins Today 1

Final Fantasy XIV Online and Monster Hunter: World’s collaboration begins today along with its newest update.

With this update, Rathalos the flying wyvern is brought to the world of Final Fantasy XIV Online, and players can challenge this foe for in-game rewards. There are two difficulty modes when fighting  Rathalos, and they include Normal and Extreme.

Players who are level 70 and have also finished the Stormblood main scenario quest can fight Rathalos in The Great Hunt trial by taking on  “The New King of the Block” quest. In Normal, the fight encompasses eight players and has mechanics in Monster Hunter: World. In Extreme, four players fight against their new foe and must overcome new hurdles.

Those brave and skilled enough to defeat Rathalos are rewarded with a bunch of items that are Monster Hunter: World-themed. These include a Rathalos Armour Set, Poogie and Palico as new minions, a new mount called the “King of the Skies,” and BBQ Spit as new furnishings.

For those who just can’t get enough of Final Fantasy XIV Online, patch 4.36 introduces the next chapter of The Forbidden Land Eureka series: The Pagos Expedition. Players can explore a new area and upgrade their Eureka weapons along with obtaining additional rewards.
