IGN has confirmed that they have parted ways with Flilip Micuin, after plagiarism in his Dead Cells review was brought to light. IGN has since then released a statement through Twitter, confirming Micuin’s termination. The original story can be read down below.

IGN’s Filip Muicin’s Dead Cell video review has been the center of plagiarism allegations, after striking similarities between his review with that of Youtube user, Boomstick Gaming, came to light. A video posted by Boomstick Gaming, which can be viewed down below, goes through both reviews, pointing out the rather obvious points in which the IGN video copies element from the Boomstick Gaming video.

IGN has since removed Muicin’s Dead Cells review, instead, readers will now find a note stating, ” As a group of writers and creators who value our own work and that of others in our field, the editorial staff of IGN takes plagiarism very seriously. In light of concerns that have been raised about our Dead Cells review, we’ve removed it for the time being and are investigating.

Inversely, perhaps this incident will bring more attention to Boomstick Gaming’s YouTube channel, which currently sits at a little over 16,000 subscribers.
