Zendesk Launches New Discord Customer Support Integration

Zendesk Launches New Discord Customer Support Integration 1

With its 150 million users, Discord has partnered up with Zendesk to give the gaming community better access to customer support.

The integration would let gamers open up a Zendesk ticket straight from Discord, which is a contrast to the past, where gamers had to contact customer support through other means.

This came in the form of emails, calls, and reaching out through social media to report a bug or other issues. Such a process took time away from playing games and result in subpar customer experiences.

“The Discord integration is one of the first-of-its kind in the gaming industry, and another example of how Zendesk enables companies to engage with customers where they are,” Mikkel Svane, the founder and CEO of Zendesk, said. “Gaming companies are now able to engage with their customers on the most popular gaming communications channel without interrupting their experience.”

Discord itself is also focused on improving the gaming experience through the new integration. “This Zendesk integration takes advantage of valuable real-time communication with customers and allows game makers a modern, more efficient way to support their players,” Eros Resmini, the Discord CMO, said. “As long time supporters and customers of Zendesk, we’re excited to see gaming communities benefit from integrations like these.”

With the extension of Zendesk’s omnichannel service, it means that gamers can communicate with the customer support more easily, meaning getting back into a game faster.
