The Resident Evil 2 remake just released its story trailer this year’s Tokyo Game Show and it involves familiar faces like Ada Wong and Annette Birkin.

Released in 1998, the survival horror classic has since then sold over 4,960,000 copies. It featured Leon Kennedy, a rookie cop, and student Claire Redfield fighting together in order to survive Raccoon City’s outbreak.

The horror and tension will be amplified with the re-imagined version returning next year. This will be in the form of terrifying zombies around every corner. Driven by hunger, they will act on instinct and attempt devour players.

Resident Evil 2 players will get to feel the bite of the undead if they’re not careful or fast enough. This will be made possible with the remake’s new and immersive camera.

As for Raccoon City itself, it will be rebuilt with better details in its characters, environments, and story, giving players a feeling of nostalgia while also offering them something new yet just as terrifying.
