Sony Announces full PlayStation Classic Game Linup

Since it was announced, the PlayStation Classic has been on any kid from the 90’s holiday list. The concept to plug the little console in and play some of the iconic titles from the PlayStation lineup was an amazing concept. Now, Sony has finally revealed the full list of games people can enjoy when they launch their new PlayStation Classic when it launches December 3rd.

Sony had previously revealed five games with the announcement: Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms. Here is the full list of games people can expect to play on the PlayStation Classic:

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

Sony has done a great job selecting a mix of classic titles from a range of genres. If you ever owned a PlayStation in the 90’s there is a good chance you owned or at least played a good portion of the games on that list. While not every game people want to play are included, there are a few titles I am sad to see excluded, notably Gran Turismo, but what is included is sure to excite many fans of the system. The PlayStation Classic is slated to launch December 3rd and if you are looking to preorder check out PlayStation.com for availability based on your region.
