Final World of Warships: Legends Beta Coming to Consoles This April 1

The hotly anticipated naval warfare game World of Warships: Legends is about to set sail for early access.

Developer Wargaming announced that a closed beta will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from March 22nd-24th. This is the second and final closed beta for the upcoming title, and players interested in jumping into the game can sign up for it on Wargaming’s website. Those that register for the closed beta will also receive a bundle of in-game reward when the game launches, including Boosters, Premium Currency and special customized items.

Following the final closed beta, the game will gear up for its early access, which launches on April 16th. The game will include HDR support at launch and 4K will come at some point this summer. Daniill Volkov, the Head of Development at Wargaming St. Petersburg stressed that the console release will be worth the wait.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to bring the naval combat enjoyed by millions of players around the world on mobile and PC to PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. We have introduced a substantial number of console-exclusive features to World of Warships: Legends, which we hope will add new dimensions to the series, whilst preserving the core gameplay that players know and love.”

World of Warships originally launched in September of 2015 on PC. The game has since received a slew of updates on PC and it made its way to mobile early last year.
