Deep Silver Announces Wasteland 3, will see Release in Spring of 2020

Deep Silver just dropped new information for Wasteland 3 — the latest installment in the iconic post-apocalyptic turn-based epic.

The game will return players into the worn boots of the Desert Rangers, tasked in rebuilding the world from the remnants of ruin left by nuclear fallout. In terms of new content, Wasteland 3 will introduce a deep and dynamic conservation system, promising branching narrative choices that augment every playthrough.

Additionally, Wasteland 3 will feature co-op, meaning players can look forward in playing the entirety of the game with a friend. Players will also be able to traverse the wastelands in vehicles, giving the game a distinct Mad Max-inspired vibe.

According to inXile CEO Brian Fargo, “Wasteland 3 is a passion project for inXile and especially me. I directed the first Wasteland in 1988 and its sequel was one of the original great crowdfunding successes, and it’s a series we care deeply about. Thanks to our partnership with Deep Silver and Microsoft, we’re able to deliver the kind of deep, immersive experience that Wasteland fans want and expect.”

The last entry into the Wasteland series, Wasteland 2, released back in 2014, for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and later, the Nintendo Switch. CGMagazine’s very own Reid Mccarter gave the game an 8.0 out of 10, praising it for its charm.

Wasteland 3 is set to release sometime in the Spring of 2020. The game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 4, Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
