Kingdom Under Fire 2 Alive, and Is Coming West This Year

Gameforge Publishing the Long Awaited Installment

Kingdom Under Fire 2 has been a long time coming, but today Gameforge announced it will be publishing the game in the West, and it will be released in 2019.

Gameforge, known for games such as AION, Elsword, Guardians of Ember, OGame, SoulWorker, and TERA announced today that they have acquired the the Western (North America, Europe) publishing rights for Kingdom Under Fire 2. Originally announced in 2008, Kingdom Under Fire 2 is the latest in the series, and is looking to be a giant leap forward in terms of ambition. Blending MMO and RTS elements on a grand scale, making for a potentially exciting release.

“The Kingdom Under Fireseries is a favorite among those of us at Gameforge, so we’re very excited to partner with Blueside to continue this epic saga and finally bring it to Western markets for the very first time,” said Tomislav Perkovic, Chief Product Officer. “We are determined to help Blueside realize their vision of the ultimate MMO, launching Kingdom Under Fire 2 for Windows PC in North America and Europe later this year.”

“Blueside has always sought a publishing partner with significant experience and a deep understanding of the Western online games market required to properly service Kingdom Under Fire 2,” said Sejung Kim, CEO of Blueside. “Based on their unique and extensive experience bringing Asian multiplayer titles to Western markets, we believe Gameforge is the publisher we’ve been looking for. We are very excited to collaborate with Gameforge to finally introduce Kingdom Under Fire 2 to fans throughout Europe and North America.” ,” said Sejung Kim, CEO of Blueside. “Based on their unique and extensive experience bringing Asian multiplayer titles to Western markets, we believe Gameforge is the publisher we’ve been looking for. We are very excited to collaborate with Gameforge to finally introduce Kingdom Under Fire 2 to fans throughout Europe and North America.”

For anyone not in the know, the Kingdom Under Fire series is set where three powerful factions (Human Alliance, Dark Legion, and Encablossians) fight for control. Players can choose from several classes where they can either focus on improving their individual characters or work to command massive armies to crush the opposition.

Set 50 years after the events of Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, this entry looks to be an interesting entry in the series when it launches later 2019 on Windows PC. No price or timeframe has been confirmed at this time.
